# Hat coverage Source and coverage snapshot, 2026-10-23. The website, API and MCP read the same Markdown. These counts describe available documents, not completed chores or independent local validations. ## What exists 14 keyed guides: hvac, hvac-service, hvac-replacement; furnace-maintenance, furnace-no-heat, furnace-replacement; drain-diagnosis, faucet-replacement, recurring-cleaning, move-out-cleaning, interior-painting, household-move, seasonal-snow and general-home-service. Every guide has separate Markdown documents for general, US and Canadian country context; all 50 US states plus separately identified Washington DC; all 13 Canadian provinces/territories; and ten selected cities per country. Boston and Seattle are retained as two additional earlier-research cities, not called top-ten cities. There are 89 place scopes and 1,246 documents. **194 documents include bounded local or inherited regional additions; 1,052 contain general fallback only. 104 have an applicable city-specific addition. These are document counts, not independent research validations.** A state qualification note inherited by four cities is one state evidence unit, not four city studies. Country documents currently carry general preparation, not a claim of national legal coverage. The new batch contains 14 local-addition Markdown files: six US and eight Canadian source investigations, some using multiple primary URLs. It covers HVAC qualification/permit distinctions in California, Los Angeles, San Diego, Texas, New York City and Philadelphia; Calgary furnace scope and snow; BC gas-work scope; Vancouver mechanical scope and snow; Ontario fuel-work qualifications; Manitoba gas/oil qualifications; and Toronto snow. Installation requirements are conditional, never asserted for every maintenance visit. Earlier service and jurisdiction source-ledger evidence is also reused with its original dates and limits. New notes replace older observations from the same URL and scope where applicable. The existing ledger contains 43 distinct source URLs, which is not 43 new source checks in this iteration. Provider intake examples are geographically bounded examples, not proof of provider acceptance, quote uplift, current availability or universal requirements. ## City-selection basis Use city/municipality populations, not metro areas. Fix the source vintage so paths stay stable; changing a later rank does not delete an existing document. **United States:** Census Vintage 2025 incorporated-city estimates for July 1, 2025, released May 14, 2026. The ten are New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Philadelphia, San Antonio, San Diego, Dallas and Fort Worth. Fort Worth is tenth in this vintage; Jacksonville is not in this selected ten. This is a defensible historical municipal basis, not a claim about a new 2026 ranking. Indexed official ranking/analysis was accessible; full fresh table extraction encountered redirects/HTTP403. The complete ten-row extraction was not independently replayed in this task. This source-access limitation is recorded rather than bypassed. US states use lowercase USPS postal abbreviations; DC is an additional district. California's canonical key is `ca`; `cal` redirects to `ca`. Canadian keys: ab, bc, mb, nb, nl, ns, nt, nu, on, pe, qc, sk, yt. Montréal uses `montreal`, New York City uses `new-york`. General and country paths are `//general`, `//usa`, `//canada`. They are intentionally labelled general fallback. Edmonton does not inherit Calgary city rules. Winnipeg's new HVAC evidence is provincial Manitoba qualification guidance, not a Winnipeg permit investigation. Texas guidance inherited by four cities does not validate their city permits. No city rule applies outside its jurisdiction. Toronto's snow source differs at exactly 2 cm; the guide preserves that uncertainty. Vancouver permit guidance preserves detailed exemptions rather than treating its broad introductory wording as a blanket rule. Chicago's newer official mechanical-source attempt returned HTTP403; no new check is claimed, though prior bounded ledger evidence remains dated. Detailed reusable HVAC research is strongest for furnaces. A general HVAC route is not proof of equally researched air-conditioning, boiler or water-heater intake. No provider list, Google review ranking, exact map measurement, current service price, availability, submitted form, booking or completed service is established by these documents. The agent is instructed to research real evidence and progress under the applicable permissions rather than stop at directory coverage.
